Gardline Hydro

Gardline Hydro is an operating Division of Gardline Geosurvey Ltd., whose expertise is conducting geophysical surveys and seabed mapping projects for non oil and gas applications.  Principal among these are the following :

• Hydrographic surveys to update nautical charts required by coastal states in order to meet IMO SOLAS Chapter 5 requirements
• Geophysical surveys to support marine renewable energy developments such as Offshore Windfarms and Tidal power generation projects
• Geophysical surveys necessary to meet United Nations Law of the Sea Article 76 (UNCLOS) claims for extended continental shelf and delimitation
• Submarine telecom and power cable route surveys

In 2009, on behalf of the Government of Brazil, Gardline Hydro was awarded a contract to undertake a survey of the Brazilian Continental Margin.  The survey, a multi-million dollar contract is required to fulfil the requirements of UNCLOS (United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea) and to give a comprehensive understanding of the Brazilian Continental Margin.
